Coldwell Banker Hearthside Raises Over $5,000 For Homeless Youth

Posted: May 15, 2018 by Rebecca Nutt

What would you do if you knew that 34% of the homeless population in the United States were under the age of 24? At Coldwell Banker Hearthside, we believe everyone deserves a warm, welcoming home - including our furry friends. In an initiative to raise awareness and funds for homeless youth in our communities, the Hearthside family of companies participated in a Sleep Out on Friday, May 11th to help support the Covenant House, a non-profit organization that provides shelter and support for homeless youth nationally and around the world. Pictured below: CEO Jamie Mancuso (left) and COO Robin Mancuso Deluna (right) pose for a picture outside during the Sleep Out.

The Sleep Out wasn't about pretending to be homeless. It was an act of solidarity and a demonstration to show homeless young people that we care - showing them that we will not stay indoors while so many kids remain outside. Pictured below: Members of the Hearthside family Sleeping Out under cardboard tents.

About 30 members of the Hearthside family came out to support an incredible cause by Sleeping Out in the parking lot of our Lahaska Sales Center. And because of their support and the help of so many generous donors, Coldwell Banker Hearthside was able to raise a total of $5,668! On behalf of our entire Hearthside family, we'd like to thank all of you for your generous contributions. The money raised immediately goes toward assisting homeless youth in our areas.

The collection continues until June 11th! You can still make a difference in the lives of youth here
