Organize the Fridge & Clean the Over
If you plan on cooking for holiday guests, now’s the time to start the cleaning prep. Get rid of old food in the fridge and organize it so everything is decluttered. This will also help if guests plan on bringing over any dishes that need to be stored in the fridge. It’s also time to give your oven a deep clean.
Create Space for a Bar
Everyone knows that in order to have a great holiday party, drinks should be involved. (There should also be designated drivers!) As a host, take some responsibility off of yourself by adding a space for people to make their own drinks, that way you don’t have to run around fetching everyone’s drink order.
Homes ID has a list of some easy and unique DIY Bar projects for the creative host or hostess. But if you’re short on time, you can easily make space on a kitchen counter or use a table in your own home.
Set the Table in Advance
Don’t be afraid to set your table ahead of your party! Not only will this take some stress off of you the day your guests arrive, but it will also give your home more of a holiday feel. Add your own personality in your table setting and wow your guests with your holiday spirit.
