Montgomery County is a hidden gem in Pennsylvania, just minutes from Philadelphia and other large metro areas, yet far away enough to enjoy the rustic charm of the country. If you find yourself in Montgomery County, PA, here are some cultural, arts, and entertainment options you shouldn't miss.

Valley Forge National Historical Park

1400 N Outer Line Dr

King of Prussia, PA 19406

Montgomery County is famous the world round for being the home of Valley Forge, the site of the legendary American Revolution battle that some say turned the tide of the war. The park covers an expansive area and includes guided and unguided tours, a gift shop, and a slate of different events that celebrate historical happenings like George Washington's Birthday, the 4th of July, and many other holidays.

King of Prussia Mall

160 N Gulph Rd

King of Prussia, PA 19406

This oddly named mall sits in the also strangely named town of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The mall is one of the largest in the state and is a shopping lover's dream. While the mall is technically a standard shopping mall, there are many discounters and luxury outlets that offer reduced prices due to the reduced rent they pay at the mall. From Gucci to North Face to Uggs- they have it at the King of Prussia Mall.

Manatawny Still Works

320 Circle of Progress Dr, Suite 104

Pottstown, PA 19464

http://www.manatawnystillworks.com/

Manatawny Still Works sits on the banks of Manatawny Creek, an 18-mile tributary river that goes from Manatawny all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. The clean, free flowing water led to the region becoming a destination for brewers and distillers, as well as people from every stripe of life. Today this tradition is carried on by the folks at Manatawny Still Works, who offer a wide range of local alcohol, alongside fantastic brewpub food. Manatawny Still Works has themed nights and happy hour, check ahead on their website for more information.

Elmwood Park Zoo

1661 Harding Blvd

Norristown, PA 19401

https://www.elmwoodparkzoo.org/about-us/history/

The Elmwood Park Zoo has been a part of the MontCo community since the early 1920s when a donated piece of land in Norristown became home to a small group of rare white-tailed deer. More than nine decades later, the Zoo still attracts visitors from all over the region. Of particular note are the Giraffe Experience, Xfinity Bison Experience, and the Trail of the Jaguar.
