A new day, a new year, a new decade and new beginnings!! Happy New Year and welcome to 2020!
You made it through another season of endless holidays, shopping, cookies and calories. While there is a lot to love during the holiday season, stepping into the New Year can be a much- needed breath of fresh air. It’s time to destress, get back into a routine and start 2020 on the right foot.
The weather is unseasonably warm so take advantage, take a hike and recollect yourself. If you’ve been on the move too much, melt into the couch binge Netflix’s The Witcher, You, Disney +’s The Mandalorian or catch up 2019’s top movies before award season!
January is typically a slow season for movies leaving you time to catch-up on box office juggernauts Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker or Frozen II. If you’re in need for some scares The Grudge (1/3) and Gretel & Hansel (1/31) debut this month, family-friendly Dolittle has been remade with Robert Downey Jr and Bad Boys For Little returns with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
The most wonderful time of the year is still hanging around provided you are a football fan and your team made the playoffs (Fly Eagles Fly)! The final 'holiday' of the season is approaching, Super Bowl Sunday on February 2nd! Philadelphia Eagles can get hyped because their journey to the Super Bowl begins on January 5th against the Seattle Seahawks at home in Philadelphia!
Now don’t spend too much indoors because there is a lot going on in our community this month! WinterFest, conventions and concerts are amongst the many events dominating January. With the weather so nice right now, don’t miss out on the chance to soak in that sunshine because before you know it you will be breaking out the snow shovel!
Without further delay, let’s take a look at what’s going on in the Greater Philadelphia area during the first month of 2020!
