Valentine’s Day is on Friday, this year we want to play Cupid and help provide the inspiration for a romantic night. We want to transcend the typical suggestion of dinner and drinks. There is no escaping cupid’s arrow, we compiled a list that has something for everyone from adopting a furry friend to mini-golf. We’ve included some suggestions for our eligible bachelors, bachelorettes and groups who are looking for something fun to do this weekend.
No matter if you are looking to go out in Philly, Bucks, Montgomery or Lehigh Valley, we have you covered. Although, if you want to stay in remember a homemade dinner, candlelight, with John Mayer playing in the background could be all you need for the perfect date night.
For any suggestions be sure to confirm details as many have required tickets to be secured beforehand.
Let’s Get Cheeky – Speed Dating
Friday, 6 – 8 pm
Let’s Get Cheeky is a minimalist UK-inspired approach to speed dating without the over the top theatrics. As featured on Bravo TV singles between the ages of 25 – 39 can meet at Sonesta Rittenhouse in Philadelphia to find “the one”.
You will spend your night rotating from one date to the other every 7-10 minutes. Each person is given a “Date-Mate” scorecard you simply write down the names of those you are vibing with and within 24 hours you will receive an e-mail with your matches to further your connections.
If you’ve never been Keystone Mini Golf is fun for romantic outings and get together of all kinds. This indoor mini-golf course is cheap, fun and has some arcade machines as well! The true highlight of Keystone Mini-Golf is that it is BYOB. If you really want to prove your worth on the last hole you have an opportunity to score a hole in one for a free game!
This is a special romantic alternative to the stereotypical drinks. No, we aren’t suggesting a romantic night at a laundromat, although the purest form of love might be helping another with their mountain of laundry! Hop Sing is a speakeasy perfect for the new roaring 20’s we are finding ourselves in.
Transport to a time the era of prohibition. This fancy, speakeasy was named one of the 30 greatest bars in the world by Conde Nast Traveler in 2015. Once you get to Hop Sing Laundromat you might be confused as there is no signage that adds to the experience in our opinion. They will card you at the gate before welcoming you upstairs. Once inside they make their rules known such as not being allowed to have your phone out.
Once you ditch the phone and get back to the basics you will fall in love with the décor and ambiance in this speakeasy.
V Day Pet Adoption

This is the perfect event for everyone, couples, singles and families. By adopting you will be giving them your new furry friend the home they deserve which they will reciprocate with their unconditional love.
With history dating back to 1743, the Blue Bell Inn or as it was known then as the “White House” provided weary hunters lodging. During the Revolutionary War our first president George Washington found himself staying at the lodge from time to time. Many years later and several changes in owners, Blue Bell Inn is still an American staple and the perfect backdrop for dinner and drinks on Valentine’s Day.
Let’s buck the clichéd trend of dinners and drinks in Bucks County by adding an element of murder mystery to the mix. This murder mystery show reveals the once-successful Moulin Bleu struggling with the opening of Moulin Rouge. The owners concoct a solution to hopefully lure customers back to the glitz and glam of can-can dancers but beware the consequences are deadly and nobody is to be trusted.
This dinner and a show is exclusive to Valentine’s weekend located in the charming Peddler’s Village so don’t miss on this Moulin murder mystery madness!
Yes, you’ve seen Star Wars…but you’ve never seen it like this!
If you both have a love for all things Star Wars you don’t want to miss out on this show. The One-Man Star Wars Trilogy has been officially endorsed by Lucasfilm, performed all over the world and garnered rave reviews. What is it? A comedy recreation of every moment of the adventures of Luke, Leia and Han in the original trilogy (all played by one man)!
You can catch this show at the Bucks County Playhouse with the option of bundling a dinner with the show.
