The Mayor of Philadelphia, Jim Kenney, was responsible for the groundbreaking of his city’s $7 million Holocaust Memorial Plaza. Another key person who took part in the groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, November 28th was Pennsylvania Attorney General, Josh Shapiro.

Under the scorching heat of an unusually hot afternoon in late September, Philadelphia introduced its official plan to deal with the worsening climatic change. At the Philadelphia Museum of Arts, Mayor Jim Kenney and other city representatives debuted the Philadelphia Municipal Energy Master Plan, which is a multi-step blueprint to minimize energy use and clean the city’s supply of energy.
